Music you move through.
A new music format where acceleration, slowing down, turning, and speed shape the composition in real time.
About
synrgy is a music app for motion-responsive compositions. Put your phone on your bike, in your car, or on your e-scooter, press play, and go.
As you accelerate, slow down, and turn, the music responds in real time. The composition is still written by an artist, but your movement shapes how it unfolds.
This turns listening into something more physical and present. The same piece can feel different every ride or drive because the route, the vehicle, and the moment become part of the music.
How the system works
A synrgy composition responds to three movement signals derived from the phone’s motion sensors and GPS: Speed Energy, Acceleration, and Turning.
Speed Energy is the slower, overall energy signal. It follows how much movement is happening over time and can shape the arrangement, density, energy, and transitions of the composition.
Turning tracks turning left and right. Acceleration tracks speeding up and slowing down. These are faster, more detailed signals, useful for controlling panorama, filters, and other effects.
Composers decide what each signal means musically. The format provides movement data. The composition defines whether the response is direct, subtle, abstract, or unexpected.
Demo
A basic synrgy composition running during a bike ride. This demo uses only six layers and very little long-form variation.
A finished piece can have much more depth, movement, and musical development over time.
This is a format demo, not a stylistic reference.
